Weekly Crop Report
Kevin Gribble
11/3/2009
The weekly crop report is out, and rain and snow continue to delay the harvest of late season crops. On average, there were just three days suitable for field work last week in the state. Soybeans, sugar beets and dry edible bean harvests made modest progress.

The soybean harvest is now 36% complete, which is behind the average of 92%. Corn and sunflower harvests are both well behind average. Corn harvested for grain remained at 2% complete, while sunflowers were 10% harvested.

The USDA says the state`s corn crop going into this week rated 59% in good or excellent condition.
