Flu Clinic Sponsored by the Upper Missouri Health Unit
Samantha Mehrotra
11/2/2009
Another round of H1N1 vaccinations will be administered Nov. 6 at the Upper Missouri District Health Unit.

The unit will provide immunizations to pregnant women, and children ages six months to 18 years.

Despite efforts to host regular clinics, health officials say they have had to make readjustments because manufacturers can only deliver limited amounts of vaccine.

"Because of limited supply, we have not made as much progress as we had originally planned," says Kara Todd-Iwen, the UMDHU executive officer. "The original plan was that we could vaccinate our entire population within three days, however, because of the small quantities arriving weekly, we are not able to do that."

Todd-Iwen says it`s possible these vaccination clinics could continue into January and February.

For more information on Friday`s clinic, visit the Upper Missouri District Health Unit`s website at http://www.UMDHU.org.
