| St. Alexius Medical Center and Kohl’s Cares® is teaming up once again to teach children in our community about health and wellness. “Play with your Food” – A Kid’s Cooking Adventure is taking place on Saturday, March 9, 2013, and on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Century High School. The free cooking school is for children in 4th and 5th grade and a caregiver. Join St. Alexius’ head chef to learn about healthy food choices and how to prepare, simple, fun snacks the family will enjoy! While the children “play” in the kitchen, the adults will be given an educational tour of Dan’s Supermarket provided by NDSU Extension Service and Bismarck-Mandan Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics. Learn to shop with a plan, buy on a budget, read food labels, find whole grains and receive healthy recipes. There are four class times to choose from. Saturday, March 9 9 to 10:30 a.m. 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23 9 to 10:30 a.m. 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Space is limited.
