| Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch-Bismarck will hold its 6th annual Pigs ‘n a Blanket dinner and quilt auction Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Shiloh Christian School, 1915 Shiloh Dr. Schedule: Quilt preview: 5 – 6:15 p.m. Dinner: 5 – 7 p.m. Live quilt auction: 6:30 p.m. Dinner tickets sold at the door: $7 per person and $15 for families of three or more. Children age 3 and under free. Dinner includes roast pork, baked beans, au gratin potatoes, corn, buns and desserts. The event will feature more than 100 quilts from individuals, guilds and churches across the nation. Music will be provided by Wayne Kabanuk and there will be plenty of door prizes—a true family-friendly evening! This year’s auctioneers are Spencer Flath and Ray Iverson. The Ranch raised nearly $24,600 in its three auctions held in Fargo, Bismarck and Minot in 2011. Proceeds from the dinner and auction help fund programs for the community’s children who are at risk with emotional and behavioral issues. The Ranch is a non-profit Christian organization, which helps at-risk children and their families succeed in the name of Christ. |
