The other day I was shopping for music in Wal-Mart, and realized that I didn’t know most of the artists featured. I’ve decided not to see this as a sign that I’m getting old, but rather, as an indication that I’ve been busy. Here’s what I’ve been up to since Time in a Bottle was the number one song. I first started at KFYR in high school, but left for other challenges in the early 80s. I returned to the station in 1988, and since that time, in addition to anchoring, I’ve been the city beat reporter, the political reporter, the consumer reporter, and finally the medical reporter. Simultaneously, I’ve anchored First News at Five in addition to co-anchoring the Evening Report and Night Report with Alan Miller. Most recently, I’ve taken over the duties of News Director for KFYR, a job I’m still learning.
My passions outside of work are my kids (I have three); tennis; and writing, both for fun and profit. To relax, I read, knit and take long walks with my husband, Cliff Naylor.
