I've wanted to be in news since before I can remember. When the other kids were watching Nick-at-Nite, I was watching 20/20. So working at KFYR is like living out a dream. Of course, I've had a little bit of practice. Growing up in gorgeous Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, I was a radio and tv anchor for my elementary school’s news. I also anchored the tv news for three years in middle school. For me, college was less about partying and more about news. I went to the University of Florida in Gainesville. GO GATORS! I was an anchor, weatherman, producer, and reporter for WUFT-TV at UF’s school of journalism. I also anchored, produced, and reported for AM-850 WRUF on the CBS radio network. I was humbled by WRUF with an award for best reporter. My work was also noticed by both the Associated Press of Florida, which awarded me best cast in the state, and the National Broadcasting Society, which honored me with best cast in the nation. I stayed in Gator Country after graduation and freelanced at Gainesville’s ABC affiliate, WCJB-TV.

In September 2006, I moved to Bismarck. I’m new to the mid-west (and the cold, brrr), but it already feels like home. What a great place! I always wondered what it would be like to live in a town where the people were friendly, the streets were clean, crime was practically non-existent, and there was more good news than bad. Bismarck is that place, and as the city-beat reporter, I get to be right in the middle of it. I look forward to being a part of the community and to meeting as many people as I can. So don’t be afraid to wave to me in the street.
