JOEL PORTER

Joel is back in Bismarck after seven years on the eastern side of the state. He grew up and went to school in Wilton where he still has family. He got his first taste of broadcasting while competing in Students do the News where he won twice in the weather category. He then studied Mass Communication at NDSU. During his time in school, Joel wrote for the campus newspaper and was active at the radio station as well. After graduation, he moved to Grand Forks where he worked as a news photographer and reporter for three years. He now anchors the morning show and is slowly adjusting to the new schedule. When he's not working, Joel enjoys hunting, fishing and bargaining at garage sales.
