Good Morning North Dakota!
My name is Ashli Kimenker and I'm so excited to be in Bismarck and be part of the KFYR-TV News Team, as an anchor for Country Morning Today.

I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and moved to Pocatello, Idaho after high school graduation to attend Idaho State University. After changing my major (only once), I started studying Mass Communications with an emphasis in Television Production. I worked on our college newscast "ISU Magazine" as a reporter, anchor, and everything in between.

Before my senior year, I interned at KPVI, the NBC affiliate in Pocatello, and found my real passion for reporting the news there and never looked back. I started working at KPVI two days after my graduation. In my three years there I wore many hats; I was a reporter and weekend anchor, producer, and assignment editor. After seven years in Idaho, I thought it was time for a change and that's what brings me to North Dakota.

I look forward to meeting the people of North Dakota, who I've noticed are very polite, and I look forward to enjoying the recreational opportunities here. I love anything you can do outdoors; from running, to camping, playing sports, snowboarding, and even fishing (my Grandpa is so proud). I also love the Kansas City Chiefs, - it's a long story of why, but to sum up: Joe Montana.
When I'm not at work, you'll most likely find me just out and about exploring anything and everything new. Feel free to say hi.
