Bismarck, I probably look a little familiar. There’s a good chance you’ve seen my reports on the ridiculous amounts of southwest North Dakota snow, the Mott floods, the Gladstone stand-off, and the tornado that ripped through Dickinson. Yes, it’s true. I’ve made my way from KQCD-TV in Dickinson to KFYR-TV in Bismarck, and I must say, I’m extremely excited about this opportunity.
My new position is the city beat reporter, which means I’ll keep an eye on what happens at both city and county commission meetings, and bring anything newsworthy to you. It’ll be a neat job. So, if the city decides to build a NASA launch pad in Bismarck, I’ll know about it first.
Here’s a little about me. I graduated high school from Davison, Michigan (if you pick your right hand up, face the palm toward you, and draw a line horizontally from your thumb and vertically from your pointer finger, the intersection is just slightly south of where my hometown is located). I graduated from Michigan State University, with a degree in broadcast journalism. While in college, I had three internships; two in Lansing, Michigan, and one at the Fox affiliate in Detroit.
It’s a great honor to be hired to work for the News Leader. While in Dickinson, I met the best people in the world, and I’m confident that in Bismarck-Mandan, I will do the same.
While I’m not working, you’d probably find me watching sports at a restaurant, working out, having fun on Playstation, or even spinning a beat as a DJ.
